Foshan (Yunfu) Industrial Transfer Park

Foshan (Yunfu) Industrial Transfer Park is being built by the city of Foshan and Yunfu, and is regarded as the most investing-worthy place located at the centre of Xijiang River. The Industrial Park was selected as a demonstration industry Transfer Park of Guangdong Province in March 2009, and won a competitive supporting fund of RMB 500 million. An organized area of 39.6 square kilometers has been planned, 12.1 square kilometers of which have been approved by the province, and 27.5 square kilometers of which have been set aside for further development. The park is divided into two areas: Chuchong and Duyang. It is planned to be developed for professional machinery manufacturing, metal processing and products, and new building materials industry as its leading industries. The Park adheres to the principles of market-oriented, complementary advantages, benefit-sharing, intensive and sustainable development, associated with high starting point planning and high standard construction combining development of the park and regional economy. Based on geographical and resource endowments, the park aims to develop professional machinery manufacturing, metal processing and products, and new building materials industry as its leading industries. The park has invested 632 million infrastructure funds by the end of 2008. The park now has 92 ongoing projects, its total cumulative investment reaches RMB 4.13 billion and has planned to invest RMB 4.846 billion, 80 projects have been completed, with a complete investment of RMB 3.567 billion. Meanwhile, Foshan City plans to shift 65 projects from 2009 to 2011, with a total investment of RMB 8.5 billion. 27 new projects have been admitted to the Park from January to April 2009, of which 7 have been completed, with an investment of RMB 136 million. 20 projects are still under construction, with a planned investment of RMB 848 million, RMB 330 million of which has already been invested.

Yunfu Xincheng Industrial Park

Foshan Shunde (Yunfu Xinxing Xincheng) Industrial Transfer Park is located in the western part of Xinxing county, close to provincial high way NO.113. It was jointly established by the governments of Xinxing county of Yunfu city and Shunde District of Foshan City. In April 2006, the Park was titled as “Guangdong Industrial Transfer Park” by Guangdong Provincial People’s Government. Xinxing County is mainly responsible for land acquisition, and internal and external management in the park, supplying preferential policies for projects. Shunde District is mainly responsible for bringing in investment, and introducing private capital and foreign capital into the park. An area of 12.11 square kilometers (about 18000 acres) has been planned for developing the park, and 6.159 square kilometers (about 9238 acres) for regulatory planning. The first phase of 2328 acres has been accomplished, and the second phase of 1400 acres has been approved by province government. The park mainly develops electronic communication, fabric and garments, hardware and machines, new building materials, biopharmaceutical industry and other secondary industries.

The first stage development of 2328 acres has been accomplished, and 17 projects have been introduced to the Park. The projects include electronic communication, fabric and garments, hardware and machine, food processing and other secondary industries. The total investment needed is RMB 985 million, and the accumulated investment has already reached RMB 126 million. There are 7 projects under construction. It is estimated that for its first stage the annual production will reach RMB 10 billion, and create tax of RMB 1.1 billion.
